Find any 323- phone number in California
The 323 area code is a telephone numbering plan area code, also known as NPA, for all of Los Angeles, California. It was approved as an area code in 1947 and originally covered the entire Los Angeles area. When it overlaid the 714 area code in October 1998, it became one of two area codes for the city of Los Angeles.
The layout of area codes in North America is governed by the North American Numbering Plan (NANP). The NANP is administered by the North American Numbering Plan Administration (NANPA), which manages and provides area code assignments within the NANP. Each three-digit area code corresponds to a geographic area organized by state and divided by region. California’s 323 area code covers some parts of Los Angeles and some parts of northwestern Inglewood. It is further divided into the 310, 424, 661, 818, 747, and 805 area codes that each represent a specific region in Los Angeles and its surrounding areas.
