Find any 334- phone number in Alabama

The 334 area code is a telephone area code in the North American Numbering Plan (NANP) for the state of Alabama. It was created in 1995 when the state was split into two sections, requiring the introduction of an additional area code. The 334 area code serves the southeastern part of the state, including Montgomery, Auburn, Troy, Dothan, Eufaula and Selma.

NANP area codes are assigned by the North American Numbering Plan Administration Corporation based on population and geographical area. The system divides the United States and Canada into 83 geographic areas, which are then assigned 3-digit area codes. Most states have more than one area code, with the number increasing as population in certain areas grows and requires additional resources. Final approval for new area codes is granted by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
