Find any 365- phone number in Ontario
The 365 area code is one of the 84 area codes that are part of the North American Numbering Plan (NANP), which organizes phone numbers in much of the United States and Canada. It serves the province of Ontario, Canada, and contains all of the province's landline telephone numbers. Area codes in the NANP are given to provinces, states, or geographic regions, instead of being assigned to individual cities or towns like other international numbering plans.
The 365 area code was implemented on 29 November 2012, after the former area codes 519, 613, and 416 became too crowded due to population and telephone line growth. It is not considered mandatory to dial the area code in Ontario, even if calling someone from another area. However, in order to make a successful call, the area code has to be dialed in most cases. As the telephone lines become more crowded, it would be beneficial to get in the habit of dialing the area code even when calling locally.
