The 430 area code is an area code designated by the North American Numbering Plan (NANP). It covers parts of the American state of Texas, including portions of the cities of Allen, Grand Prairie, Wylie and Sherman.

The NANP is a numbering plan first instituted in 1947, and spans the entirety of the United States, the Carribean and Canada. It divides the region into 86 distinct area codes, which are in turn divided into rate centers, each of which corresponds to a unique station. The system divides phone numbers into a three-digit area code, followed by a three-digit area code, with the last four digits being assigned to the particular phone number.
