Find any 641- phone number in Iowa

The 641 area code is an American Numbering Plan (NPA) area code for telephone numbers in the state of Iowa. It was created in 2001 when a split was made from the 319 area code. 641 covers the entire state of Iowa, stretching from the northeast corner of the state, near the intersection of Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin at the Mississippi River, to all the way south on the Missouri River.

The current NPA system allows local and regional carriers to offer more phone numbers in an area, while maintaining some regional identity. This system is sometimes referred to as a "geographic split" or an area code overlay system. The implementation of the 641 area code was done in order to provide sufficient numbers for the increasing demand for phone numbers in the Iowa area.
