Find any 760- phone number in California

The 760 area code is one of California’s original area codes. It serves the northern, eastern, and southeastern parts of San Diego County and southern portions of Imperial and Riverside counties, including the cities of Santa Ysabel, Bishop, Ridgecrest, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, Valley Center, and Oceanside. It was one of the first area codes to be assigned in California in October of 1947.

Area codes were created as part of the North American Numbering Plan (NANP). The NANP was established in 1947 to assign telephone numbers to all areas of North America. This includes the United States, Canada, and 16 Caribbean nations. Currently, there are a total of 249 area codes, each containing up to 7.9 million telephone numbers. The NANP also allows for local numbers and toll-free numbers to be designated to each area code. This allows for users to place numbers from different parts of the country or world in one phone system.
