Find any 770- phone number in Georgia

The 770 area code is allocated to the State of Georgia in the North American Numbering Plan (NANP). It is located in the eastern United States, covering the Atlanta metropolitan area and its surrounding suburbs. This area code was officially introduced to the public in 1995, when it was created from portions of the 404, 678, and 470 area codes.

The North American Numbering Plan is administered by the North American Numbering Plan Administration — an independent body established in 1997 by the Federal Communications Commission. This Plan assigns one or more three-digit area codes to each of the areas within the NANP, and regionally-based telephone numbers are assigned to each area to identify the services necessary to ensure geographic specificity. With this system in place, each phone call is routed to its desired destination regardless of the telephone user's current geographic location. This system is used by over two-hundred countries and is the dominant telephone numbering plan in North America.
