Find any 905- phone number in Ontario

The 905 area code is a telephone area code used in Ontario, Canada. The area code was created in 1993 as a split from the 416 area code when the population of the area surged and the administration of the 416 codes proved to be too difficult. It covers large cities such as Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Oakville, Whitby, Richmond Hill, and several other greater Toronto area cities.

The 905 area code was put in place as a part of the North American Numbering Plan (NANP). The NANP is used in the US, Canada, and some Caribbean nations. It divides telephone numbers into three parts: the country code (1 for US and Canada), the first three digits (the area code) and the final seven digits (the local exchange). This helps ensure that calls made between two area codes can still be completed using only the full ten digits of a phone number.
