Find any 937- phone number in Ohio

The 937 area code is the area code for the southwestern portion of the state of Ohio. It was created in 1996 when the original 614 area code for Ohio was divided for the first time. 937 includes much of the Miami Valley region of the state, including the cities of Dayton, Springfield and Middletown, as well as much of the rest of Montgomery, Greene and Warren counties.

The system that designates 937 and all other area codes comes from the North American Numbering Plan (NANP), which is an organized system of numbers that is used to route telephone calls in the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, parts of the Pacific and many other countries. Each three-digit area code is associated with a particular geographic area and allows local telephone numbers to be shorter, making them easier to remember. The NANP is managed by the North American Numbering Plan Administration and changes or adds new area codes as needed to meet the demand for new telephone numbers.
