Find any 763- phone number in Minnesota

The 763 area code is an area code within the North American Numbering Plan (NANP) that serves the state of Minnesota. It was put into effect on July 1, 2000, by splitting off from the original 612 area code which served the entire Twin Cities metropolitan area. The area code is used for landlines and cellular phones for all parts of Anoka, Carver, Hennepin, Isanti, Ramsey, Sherburne, and Washington counties and a small portion of Wright County.

The NANP was developed by AT&T in 1947 and is designed to organize the numbering plan for telephones in the United States, Canada, and many Caribbean countries. North American area codes are laid out as “Numbering Plan Areas” and usually consist of three-digit area codes and seven-digit phone numbers. The inclusion of an area code is essential to generate a ten-digit telephone number, which is necessary due to the increased number of phones purchased in the US and the need for a numbering system that would accommodate the additional devices.
